I'm a geographer specialized in the use of Geographic Information Science technologies (GIS).
My professional activity includes the gathering, processing and analysis of geographical information - geodata - and the communication of results through reports, thematic cartography and infographics.
I apply my skills in the sciences of the city in particular in the field of urban planning and spatial/territorial development.
I graduated in Geographic Information Visualization and Analysis at the GIScience Center at the University of Zurich (UZH).
I obtained a doctorate in science (PhD) at the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) - doctoral program Architecture and sciences of the city with a thesis on the public space of a small city (Small City Public Space).
I worked at the Academy of Architecture - University of Italian Switzerland (USI) as scientific collaborator of the Observatory of territorial development (OST-TI). I was co-lecturer of the Territorial Development course and teaching assistant of Urban Geography.
Now I dedicate myself independently to the development of studies and analyzes in the field of planning and territorial development and the gathering of geodata. The technologies related to geoinformation and GIS help me to work quickly and reliably.
I'm specialized:
– in the collection, processing, analysis and visualization of geodata
– in the development of GIS methodologies and models for the analysis of the geographical space
– in cartographic production
– in scientific reports and academic publications
I am a member of SIA - Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects, OTIA - Ordine ingegneri e architetti del Cantone Ticino, SOGI/OSIG - Schweizerische Organisation für Geoinformation and GEA - Associazione dei geografi Ticino.
